In the United States all 50 states have a state motto, some of the states motto's have been officially declared into state legislature approved by the states congress. States have motto's which describe the states motivation or general intent of the particular state. Many states have their state's motto in a different language such as Latin, French, Spanish, Italian, Hawaiian, Greek, and Chinook Jargon.
