Florida Department of Corrections

The Florida Department of Corrections (DC) is the third largest state prison system in the country with just over 100,000 inmates and another 115,000 offenders on active community supervision in the state of Florida. The Department of Corrections manages 146 facilities, including 68 prisons, 40 work/forestry camps, one treatment center, 33 work release centers, five road prisons and one boot camp.

The mission of the Florida DC is to protect the public safety, to ensure the safety of Department personnel, while providing proper care and supervision of all offenders.  At the DC of Florida website you can get a wide range of information including: Jail Info, Community Corrections, Re-Entry to society info, Offender Search, and Victim information.  As well as information on how you can Pay Court Ordered Payments, Call an Inmate, Send an Inmate Money, Write to an Inmate, Visit an Inmate, and Register for Victim Notification.
