Idaho is a state in the northwestern portion of the US. Idaho is a mountainous state that borders the Canadian province of British Columbia to the north, Montana to the northeast, Wyoming to the east, Nevada and Utah to the south, and Washington and Oregon to the west. Idaho is the 14th largest state in the US but the smallest of the eight rocky mountain states. Idaho is known as the Gem State due to the large amounts of Gems that are found and mined in Idaho, also Idaho is sometimes called the Potato State due to the amount of potatoes farmed and distributed from Idaho.
