Arkansas State Flower: Apple Blossom
Scientific Name: Pyrus malus
State Flower Description: Apple Blossoms grow on the Apple Tree and are produced in the spring of the year at the same time the leaves are being produced on the tree. Flowers are white with a pink tinge that will eventually fade away to and all white bloom. The blossom has 5 petals and the central flower of the blossom is called the the "King Bloom" and develops a larger fruit.
Where It's Found: Throughout the US, at one time Arkansas was a major Apple producing state in the US.
