New Mexico State Flower: Yucca flower

Scientific Name: Yucca

State Flower Description: Yucca plants are grown as ornamental plants in gardens. The Yucca produces a large tall stalk of white or purple blossoms. Yucca flowers are bell shaped and greenish white. Many parts of the Yucca are edible which includes the plants fruits, seeds, flowers, stems, and sometimes the roots.

Where It's Found: Yuccas are native to the hot and dry parts of North America, Central America, and the West Indies.
