Each of the 50 States in the United States has their own State Seals.  The seals are used for emblematic purpose and also a functional purpose when used on letterhead, plaques, entrances etc.. Often the state seal contains meaning to that particular state such as the State's Motto, or some economic feature of the state.  Often the states seal will show a representation of the past on how the state was formed or by whom.  All images provided below are ppart of the Public Domain - Feel free to use them as you wish.
