Registering a Vehicle in California via the California DMV Portal:
In California if you own a vehicle you will receive a vehicle renewal notice from California DMV via mail, which requires you to renew your vehicles registration before a certain date that will be provided to you on the mailing from the CA DMV. You can renew your vehicle registration by visiting the California Department of Motor Vehicles website at www.DMV.ca.gov, or you can renew your vehicle registration by mail or in person at a CA DMV Center.
If renewing your CA vehicle registration online you will need to visit www.DMV.ca.gov, next you will want to enter the required information related to your vehicle via the Step 1 section of the website. After entering in your registration information you will want to confirm your record information and make online payment with a credit card or other form of payment. After payment is complete you will receive a confirmation of your transaction and get your sticker within five business days by mail which then you need to attach to your vehicle.
